The Production Audit Section is responsible for auditing producer reports, transporter reports, Plant Reports and Refinery Reports which serve as a basis for the collection of severance tax and the basis for the collection of royalty income from state owned lands and water bottoms by the Office the Mineral Resources.

This section collects the Annual Inspection Fee and Organization Report Fee, issues Compliance Notices to resolve audit discrepancies, issues Compliance Orders for movement of oil without proper authorization.
