State Mineral Board Presents Lease Sale Figures
The State Mineral Board conducted its monthly Lease Sale on April 11, 2007, in the Conservation and Mineral Resources Hearing Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
According to Mineral Board Secretary Marjorie McKeithen, the lease sale revenue collected so far this year is surpassing the average amount collected in the last five fiscal years by over 30 percent. She said the April lease sale brought in $3 million to the state, with a FY 2007 total nearing $40 million.
Below are the preliminary results of the lease sale and 2006-2007 Fiscal Year totals.
