INCIDENTS

WOMAN CITED FOR THEFT, LICENSE VIOLATION — Veronica Romero, 37, of 128 School St., Childs, was cited for retail theft after attempting to leave the Family Dollar store, 156 Cottage St., with $13.10 in unpaid merchandise concealed in and under her purse at 8:10 p.m. on Aug. 26.  She was also cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license for her Nissan sedan.  Sgt. Patrick Lawler filed the report.

WOMAN CITED AS DRUNK AND DISORDERLY — Sammy Jo Crawford, 31, of Browndale was cited for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and a nuisance violation for trespassing onto another person’s property after causing a public disturbance by fighting with Adrean Rizner, 29, of 169 Dundaff St. and stealing his keys on Dundaff St. at 11:58 p.m. on Aug. 28.  While questioning her, police detected a strong odor of alcohol on Crawford’s breath, observed that her eyes were red and speech slurred, and she had difficulty standing or walking.  Officer Dominick Andidora filed the report.

WOMAN CITED FOR RETAIL THEFT — Samantha Baiamonte, 21, of 380 Belmont St., Waymart, was cited for retail theft after attempting to steal diapers and baby socks valued at $20 for her 18-month-old child from the Family Dollar store on Cottage St. at 6:59 p.m. on Aug. 30.  When police searched her, they found $70 on her person and asked her why she didn’t use the money to pay for the items.  She said that $70 was needed to put on her boyfriend’s account at the county prison.  Officer Anthony Calabro filed the report.

MAN CITED FOLLOWING DISTURBANCE — Jason Martin, 19, of 1 Walker Ave. was cited for a nuisance violation after causing a disturbance by yelling at a male juvenile at Route 6 and Walker Ave. at 3:15 p.m. on Sept. 3.  Officer Dominick Andidora filed the report.
