The Weather Channel set for Crawfish Festival and more

The Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival and other St. Martin Parish attractions will be featured on “AMHQ Weekend,” a morning show on The Weather Channel. The show airs from 4 to 8 a.m. Central time, followed by “Weekend Recharge” from 8 to 11 a.m.

Co-hosts Reynolds Wolf and Kait Parker are scheduled to ride an airboat through the Atchafalaya Basin, America’s largest river swamp with more than one million acres of bottomland hardwoods, swamps, bayou and backwater lakes. Reynolds and Parker will also visit the Joie de Vivre Cafe in Breaux Bridge and attend the Crawfish Festival. where more than 30 Cajun and zydeco bands will perform on three stages.

Following a stop in Natchez, Miss., on Friday, the show will broadcast live from 4 to 11 a.m. Saturday from McGee’s Landing in Henderson and several locations in the Atchafalaya Basin. The program goes live from the Crawfish Festival from 4 to 11 a.m. Sunday.

The broadcasts are part of the show’s “It’s Amazing Out There” spring tour, which showcases local culture, historic sites, landmark events and more.
