Project Management Section

The Project Management Section has overall responsibility for the activities of all Coastal Engineering Division projects (CWPPRA, federal cost-shared and state) from the beginning of engineering design through public bidding up to the initiation of the construction phase. Each project manager works with a specific federal agency and is the coordinator for all contacts outside of DNR (federal and state agencies, parishes, and local municipalities).

The Project Management Section maintains various databases for project contacts, scheduling and status (project manager spreadsheet, MS Projects and Executive Summaries), and also reviews Coastal Use Permits for possible negative impacts on restoration projects.
