Description:

This project provides for management of the West Pointe a la Hache siphon outfall area to maximize the retention of freshwater, nutrients, and sediment within interior brackish marshes to counteract saltwater intrusion and wetland loss. This project utilizes water control structures to divert water from the main distributary channels to secondary channels and allow more efficient flow over the marsh.
