Lake Salvador Shore Protection Demonstration

Description:

The project is intended to maintain the shoreline along a section of Lake Salvador and help re-establish the natural hydrology of interior marsh. Phase I of the project was constructed to demonstrate the effectiveness of four separate types of segmented breakwaters in a poor soil environment. Phase II of the project included the installation of 8,000 feet of continuous rock structure along the western section of the lake.
