Description:
This project is intended to reduce erosion of the channel bank and protect exposed marsh from increased water exchange and rapid changes in salinity. The project strategies included armoring the western bank of the Barataria Bay Waterway with approximately 9,400 linear feet of rock material and installation of a water control structure to limit saltwater intrusion into the area.
