Description:
The goals of this project are to: 1) create and nourish marsh using sediment dredged from the Mississippi River and transported via pipeline to the project area; and 2) create a ridge along the southwestern shoreline of Bayou Dupont. The project will create approximately 184 acres brackish marsh, nourish approximately 118 acres of brackish marsh, and construct about 15 acres of maritime ridge habitat.
