Description:
This project will reintroduce Mississippi River water into adjacent wetlands, restoring natural deltaic growth and habitats. An uncontrolled diversion with a capacity of approximately 10,000 cfs will be constructed. The project is anticipated to create/protect 635 acres of marsh over the 20-year project life.
