Description:

The project area falls within the Cameron-Creole watershed management area, which has been adversely impacted by saltwater intrusion and loss of sediment due to channelization and water diversion of the Calcasieu River. The project provides needed maintenance for the existing 19 miles of levee and five major structures which make up the Cameron-Creole Watershed Project.
