Description:

The project is intended to restore, to the extent possible, the natural hydrology of the area. A reduction in marsh loss and improved water conditions are expected to occur following project implementation. The project includes rebuilding the Alkali Ditch levee, utilizing dredged material from the Calcasieu River when available, as well as rebuilding water control structures and canal plugs.
