MAY MINERAL LEASE SALE REPORTED BY BOARD

The State Mineral Board conducted a Lease Sale May 12, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mineral Board Hearing Room located in the State Land and Natural Resources Building in Baton Rouge. Below are the preliminary results of the Lease Sale and 1998-99 Fiscal Year totals.
Five of the twelve leases issued today were awarded to Kalar Corp. of Broussard accounting for $316,688, reported Mineral Board Secretary Gus Rodemacher. He said the total sale amounted to $494,102.
