Meeting Announcement


DNR to host watershed meetings in Iberville and
West Baton Rouge


The Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will hold two public meetings to seek support and consensus on solving problems involving the Atchafalaya East Watershed.

DNR’s Atchafalaya Basin Program (APB) has started a Reconnaissance Evaluation program involving the area between the Atchafalaya Basin’s East Guide Levee and the Mississippi River, and has identified problems that need to be addressed. The issues to be discussed include water quality, stagnation, poor quality fish and wildlife habitat and flooding.  

As part of a series of stakeholder meetings, the latest meetings will be held on Monday, Nov. 6 at 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday Nov. 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the following locations:
