The report outlines a preliminary draft plan to effectively integrate flood protection and coastal restoration and discusses why coastal Louisiana must be protected and restored.  Maps and a variety of illustrations help to tell of wetland loss and ways to sustain a valuable ecosystem and land.

IPT officials and staff contributing to the effort include: DNR Secretary Scott Angelle and Deputy Secretary Randy Hanchey. Also the IPT members Larry Ardoin, Andrew Beall, Rickey Brouillette, Jean Cowan, Michele Deshotels, Norwyn Johnson, Jon Porthouse, Juanita Russell.
