Canadian Energy Officials Visit DNR

On Thursday, October 1, 2009, the Office of Conservation received two distinguished Canadian visitors, namely, Mr. J. D. (Jim) Dilay and Mr. Michael J. Bruni, both members of the Energy Resources Conservation Board, Calgary, Alberta. They met with Commissioner Jim Welsh, Assistant Commissioner Gary Ross and Chief Geologist M. B. Kumar. During their information exchange, Dilay and Bruni highlighted functions of their regulatory system. DNR Secretary Scott Angelle and Commissioner Welsh later in the month met with the energy officials at the IOGCC - Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission’s annual meeting in Biloxi, Mississippi. They were greatly appreciative of the opportunity to visit in the beautiful city of Baton Rouge – the hometown of the LSU Tigers!
