Bill Brothers
IdleAire Technologies Corporation
Bill graduated from the University
of Arkansas with a B.S.B.A. in
Marketing in 1976 and received his commercial pilot, multi-engine, and
instrument certification at Embry Riddle
Aeronautical University
in 1978.
Bill’s professional background has
been largely in the transportation and distribution industry, ranging from
management of a 250,000 square foot public warehousing operation to starting
Helena Truck Lines, Inc. in Memphis, TN
in 1984. Bill grew this company to an $8 million
annual revenue with 75 tractors and 150 trailers. In 2000, Nationwide Express
purchased Helena and Bill managed
the transition of sales, recruiting, and maintenance into Nationwide’s
new Southwest Division. Bill’s
entrepreneurial spirit eventually brought him to IdleAire
in 2003 where he was again challenged by a start up company.
Bill began at IdleAire
in 2003 as the company started the deployment of the Advanced Travel Center
Electrification system in West Memphis, AR.
He moved to Dallas, TX
in September of 2003 to manage that new location, the first in the TA system.
In January 2004, he was promoted to
Area Manager, opening the three El Paso, TX
sites while also overseeing West Memphis.
Those duties changed over the next year and a half to include responsibilities
for Southwest Texas as well as El
Paso and West Memphis.
His duties continue to change as IdleAire continues
the network of installations. Bill is now District Manager for Alabama,
Arkansas, Louisiana
and Mississippi with
responsibilities for the development and operation of all new and existing
sites in those states.
Bill is married to the former
Suzanne Rowland and has three sons, John 22, Kingston
12 and Rowland 11.
