Fiscal & Budget Division

The Fiscal and Budget Division provides complete financial management services for the various offices of DNR, constituting five separate budget units. Its functions include annual budget preparation, maintaining accounts reflecting the department's revenues received and costs incurred, and providing financial management reports and advice.

During 2000-2001, an Accounts Receivable Section was started within the Accounting Office to centralize the collection of cash and expedite deposits into the state treasury. As required of all agencies, this section ensures that all cash receipts go into the treasury within a 24-hour period.
