CallXpress Voicemail System
CallXpress Introduction
CallXpress allows Baton Rouge DENR employees to receive voice mail messages from their own desktop through Outlook email messages. DENR will no longer use the Office of Telecommunications Management (OTM) for voice mail services. You should remember that new and saved messages add to your Outlook mailbox size and count against your storage limit of 50 MB. Deleted messages which are still in your Outlook Deleted Items folder also count against your storage limit.
Setting up voicemail for the first time on your phone
Once your CallXpress voice mail has been activated, you will be required to set up your mailbox password and greeting from your own telephone. Read and follow the initial voice mail setup instructions .
Setting up CallXpress Desktop PhoneManager software
The CallXpress software will be installed on your computer prior to the voice mail migration.
From the Start Menu, select Programs > CallXpress Desktop > Desktop PhoneManager. Enter the voice mail password you configured during your initial voice mail setup and click OK. If you are attempting to set up your Desktop PhoneManager software before completing the voice mail setup, you will use the default password of 1591 in this step.
Select the Passwords tab:
Enter your existing network password in the indicated New Password and Confirm Password boxes and click the Save button, then click OK:
You're ready to use your new voice mail, and you will begin receiving voice mail messages in your Outlook Inbox! Again, keep in mind that new and saved messages as well as messages in your Deleted Items folder add to your Outlook mailbox size and count against your storage limit of 50 MB.
Making changes after the initial setup
After completing the setup of your voice mail, you may later want to change your greeting, recorded name, or password. For information on making these changes, read and follow the these instructions .
