Teche Area shutterbugs continue to send their photos to compete in the Eyes on the Teche, an annual photo contest of The Daily Iberian.
Many photos have been sent in, and we are looking for more. So, if you have not yet sent one or more photos in, now’s the time.
And don’t forget there are cool prizes to be won.
Almost any kind of photo can be sent in: crawfish boils; family reunions; kids sporting events; landscapes of the Atchafalaya Basin; picturesque scene along the bayou; or your own backyard. Â
Whatever the photo, be sure to include a sentence or two about the photo, when and where it was taken, who’s in the picture and if it is at an event, like a family gathering or a festival, include that, too.Â
Digital images can be emailed to dailyiberian@cox.net (please be sure to keep your images to under 4 MB each in size) and name the subject line Eyes on the Teche. Or drop off a CD or memory stick at our offices on the corner of East Main and Lewis streets. Send as many images as you like, but be sure to include the name that should be listed for credit for each photo and your contact information so we can tell you if you’ve won a prize. When emailing photos, please keep in mind that several large photos in one email might not be accepted by our email server, so it’s best to send a maximum of about two or three images per email.
Now about those prizes. A panel of Daily Iberian judges will decide on the three best features, which will be featured prominently in the Eyes on the Teche special section, one of a series of special publications from The Daily Iberian in February.
We want to see the Teche Area through your eyes, so send in your photos no later than Feb. 4.
