DNR to Host Fifth Annual Oil & Gas Seminar in New Orleans

Louisiana Oil & Gas: From SONRIS to Sunset to be held at Roosevelt Hotel August 29-31

BATON ROUGE The Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will hold its fifth annual education and training seminar Louisiana Oil &Gas: From SONRIS to Sunset in New Orleans at the Roosevelt Hotel on August 29-31.

 

The conference will include seminars on a variety of oil and gas topics, including how to obtain permits from multiple state agencies when doing business in Louisiana.  Seminars on mineral royalty and severance tax will also be offered.  Continuing education credit opportunities will be available for attorneys in Texas and Louisiana, as well as engineers and landmen from across the country.

 

In addition to seminars, the conference will feature several keynote speakers, including Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association President Chris John, La. Oil and Gas Association President Don Briggs, and LSU Center for Energy Studies Professor David Dismukes.

 

Exhibits and access to DNR SONRIS system (DNR’s online database of oil and gas records) will also be featured.

 

Registration for the seminar is $375 per participant and includes meals, courses, speakers and activities. New Orleans tours and golfing will also be offered as optional pre-conference events on Sat. Aug. 27 and Sun. Aug. 28. After August 1st, registration fees will increase.  Online registration is available at www.regonline.com/oilandgas2011 and on-site registration will be available throughout the conference.
