The Office of Conservation is located in the LaSalle Building, which is found on the corner of Third Street and North Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The official address is 617 North Third Street.

The six divisions of the Office of Conservation are located on the 8th, 9th, and 11th floors of the LaSalle Building. Additionally Conservation operates three district offices located in Lafayette, Monroe, and Shreveport, Louisiana.

Visitors meeting with staff at the LaSalle Building must present identification at the reception station on the ground floor in order to obtain a badge.  Please provide the receptionist with information regarding your visit, such as the staff member's name, Division, and floor.

Conservation Hearings in the LaSalle Building are held in the LaBelle Room on the ground floor.  All other public meetings will be held in either the LaBelle Room or the Griffon Room, also located on the ground floor. Parking is provided in the Welcome Center Parking Garage located at 101 North Street, which is in the adjacent block west of the LaSalle Building.

Please use the Conservation Directory to find the contact information for our staff members.  For general information, the Office of Conservation can be reached by dialing (225) 342-5540 or emailing to ooc@la.gov.

To Mail Using a Courier Service (FedEx, UPS, etc.)

If you are sending mail to the Office of Conservation using a courier service, such as FedEx or UPS, please use the following address format when filling out the delivery ticket.  This insures that the package will be delivered to the intended recipient as timely as possible.  If you have any questions, please contact the Conservation receptionist desk at (225) 342-5540.

If you are sending mail to the Office of Conservation using the U.S. Postal Service, please use P.O. To Report an Emergency

All environmental emergencies related to Oil & Gas Incidents, Injection Wells, E&P Waste, or Pipelines should be immediately reported to the State Police so that the appropriate response personnel will be deployed.

The Office of State Police will notify the Office of Conservation to coordinate response efforts.  However, we encourage you to utilize our 24-Hour Service to notify the Office of Conservation after contacting the State Police.
